BONEHEAD TIP:
This gearsling is just that---a gearsling. Do not use our Double
Gear Sling as a chest harness. If you try to use it as a chest
harness, at least clip the front and rear loops together with
locking biners. Hey, it's your chest. |
SMART AIDERS:
FISH Smart Aiders come with two 5-step aiders per pair. Each aider
has a sub step sewn into the second step, where most of the action
will take place. Unless you are on a slab, that kookie step in
the top of other aiders will be virtually impossible to use. When
you find yourself on the steep stuff, the second step will be
home 90% of the time. If you need a little more height to reach
an out of reach placement, step into the sub-second step on your
FISH Aiders. Voila! The extra height---and that A7pitch---are
in the bag. Nice job! Smart Aiders come in assorted colors and
have step stiffeners sewn in to keep 'em open when you need 'em,
and sport more bartacks than most third graders can count. For
2001 we are now putting all the steps on the same side. try it,
you'll like it! $47.00 per pair or $50.00
per pair with grab-loops sewn into the top.

ALPINE AIDERS:
People kept asking us, " hey, why don't you guys make some
lightweight aiders so I don't have to lug around a full size set
for two moves of aid." Well this is what we came up with.
Our Alpine Aiders feature all the magic of our regular Smart Aiders,
but we used 3/4" webbing instead of 1" for lighter weight
and easier packability. Since they are the only pair you will
carry when going light and fast, we made them both 5-Step aiders
for the pair. As always, tons of bartacks, step stiffeners, and
a sub 2nd step. $48.25 per pair, $50.00 per pair with
grab loops at the top.

New! LADDER AIDERS:
A new ladder style aider is now available. We decided to go with
a 3/4" nylon webbing on these ladders to avoid the weight
issue that is the downfall of other manufacturers "ladder
style" aiders. Each ladder only weighs 9.5 ounces and is
76" in overall length. Features include a burly double thickness
bottom step, a sub 2Step and a sub TopStep for maximum reach.
A full strength grab loop completes the set up. Contrasting colors
on the steps. Each pair is the same color scheme. Order two pairs
and we will make sure you have two distinct color patterns. If
you already own a set of Fish Smart Aiders, the steps on our new
Ladder Aiders will match up with each step of the Smart Aiders.
$60.00 a pair.
If you just can't live without 1" wide webbing steps, add
$7.00 per pair and we will make them up using 1" webbing
instead of the 3/4" webbing for the body and the steps.
SUPER DAISY CHAIN
You are probably wondering why, "Super"? Well, this
pup is close to six feet long, That means you can run a standard
big wall tangle and still be able to clip pieces over your head.
Now, ain't that super? Another good trick is to clip into the
middle area of the Super Daisy and use each free end for your
Jumars. If you think your not quite up to the "Super",
try the "Not-so-Super" which is a modest
3.5 feet long. Both are made from 11/16th inch Super Tape webbing
and are fully bartacked. The clip-in pockets are 4.5" apart
and sport 3 bartacks per section. Super Daisy $17.00 ea.
Not-So-Super Daisy $15.00 ea.
ADJUSTABLE DAISY CHAIN![]()
Extra long and burly alternative to the "pocket style"
daisy chain. This type of daisy chain makes getting adjusted for
jugging a breeze... Speed climbers swear by them for ultra rapid
adjustment and using a "winching" effect to get high
on the piece. We use a big and burly Ancra buckle, coupled with
our thick style "aider" webbing. Overall length is about
6 feet, including a 10" loop for girth hitching into your
harness. One caveat: This style of daisy chain is NOT as strong
as our regular sewn daisy chains, and will wear out much faster.
The aggressive teeth on the buckle will fuzz out your webbing
and in some cases make the daisy unsafe for use after minimal
use (one wall? two walls? less?). Always tie into the main rope
at short intervals while using this style of daisy chain, regardless
of product condition or manufacturer. Speed and convenience costs.....
since these daisy chains have a fast wear cycle, what we will
do for you is when you decide the webbing is smoked, we will send
you a new main strap with the 10" girthing loop that you
can re-thread into the buckle for a minimal cost. Just ask. $15.00
ea. Replacement webbing, $5.00. Buy both at the same time for
$19.00
BONEHEAD TIP:
Never "cross clip" a pocket in a daisy chain. If the
pocket stitches blow-out you are gone. Always clip so the pockets
load in series, so if the pockets start to zipper under extreme
load, the daisy chain will work like a sad "air-voyager."
Sounds scary huh? |
WALL BAGS:
Our Wall Bags reflect the wall climbers need for more than just
a stuff sack. A 420 denier pack cloth body is coupled with a super
tough "18oz. VCN" bottom to keep canned food and the
like from poking through. The clip off loop is bomber on the side
of overkill and is large enough to get a hand into even while
wearing gloves. Three sizes, small & medium for personal items,
and large for food. Sm, 6"x13" tall.
Med, 8"x15" Lrg, 12"x19".
$8.50, $11.00, & $14.00 ea.
BEEF BAGS:
Pointy objects like bolt kits, headlamps, ice tools and the like
make rubbish out of ordinary bags. Enter the Beefbag. The body
features 18 oz. Vinyl Coated Nylon and has an easy closing draw
collar top. Beefbag sizes: 5"x6" (Sm),

body. $7.50, $9.50, & $13.50 ea.
Peek-A-Boo Stuffsacks

9/16" SUPER
TIE-OFF WEBBING, back in stock!!!
This 9/16" Tie-Off web is thin enough to thread through the
eye of pitons easily or behind a truly dicey pin that is hanging
out a mile. Don't mistake this with the lighter duty 1/2"
Tie Off Webbing sold elsewhere. Our Super Tie Off web is 50% stronger
than the 1/2" variety. Also note, this is not that thick
9/16" SuperTape webbing that is normally too thick to use
as tieoffs. 50 feet per pack, natural color. A standard tieoff
takes 2feet. A loop of this tied with a water knot will break
at about 2600lbs +/-. $11.00 ea.
1" TUBULAR WEBBING:
Tie your own runners, bail out of a tree, set up a slackline,
lash some swag down on your boat. Tons of uses. This is the 1"
tubular nylon webbing to use. Assorted colors. Comes in 50 foot
lengths. Need some longer? Email us. $15.00 for 50 ft.
The Big Wall John, although usually known by some of
its other names ie: Shit Tube, Pipe Bomb, Backcountry John, Mountain
Tube, Tool for Big Wall Stools, Hoop Snake Taquito, etc. A roomy
4" diameter pipe with screw caps on both ends for easy access.
To keep the unpleasantness where it belongs we've added a keeper
cable to the upper lid. No more lost lids and horrible odors.
Each Big Wall John comes complete and ready to haul with its own
suspension system. Man, I can hardly wait to get my pants off.
Comes in a Grade VI size (2 foot long tube) or a Grade V (1 foot
long tube) for the shorter routes or if you eat a lot of cheese.
$37.00 for the Grade VI and $33.00 for the Grade
V model.
CHUM
BUCKET Big Wall Rope Bag
This is a burly version of the tried and true Rope Bucket
idea for keeping your rope organized at a anchor. Our Chum Bucket
has improved on the common designs currently available. We have
made the Chum Bucket large enough for todays modern long ropes,
and it still has room to spare. The "stiffy" rim has
no cable to kink, the clip in loops are extra long and have fast
adjusters, the zipper is a burly #10 YKK with an super stout abrasion
guard to hide the zipper pull when in use. We added two "real"
haul loops so you can yard on the bag with no worries about losing
your rope in a gear failure mishap. Additional features include
a nice wide gusset for easy rope management, a "hot clip"
loop on the gusset so you can always find the sharp end, and the
easiest Over-the-Shoulder system ever. The bottom of the bag has
an additional clip in loop on the inside for when you need to
toss the bag on some hasty rappel.
This is also a great bag for local crag use and storing your rope.
You can clip the adjusters right onto your harness as a belayer
and feed rope right to the leader. Large enough to hold a set
of draws, your shoes, harness and the lead line. Besides the one
shoulder carry method, the Chum Bucket can be worn like a pack
for longer approaches. $54.00 ea.

SNAKE CHARMER Big Wall Rope
Bag
For when it really counts, and your ropes need to feed properly,
this is the ultimate unit. Big Wall soloists will rejoice with
the ease of packing the rope and the uniform and tangleless deployment.
Anyone stuck in a stiff upward hurricane on El Cap using this
piece of equipment will be making sandwiches instead of doing
a bad version of the Indian Rope Trick. Features include two grommets
in the bottom to drain away water in storms. The last thing you
need is a 96lbs of water in your rope bag when you rap back into
the station. A "Ballast" strap on the bottom that you
can clip some weight onto to keep the bag from flapping around
in the wind when almost all the rope is deployed. Four internal
"Hot Clips", two up high and two down inside on the
bottom panel to tie your rope to and keep the ends separate and
easy to locate. A stiff 2" webbing reinforced rim that goes
all the way around the bag. A super burly divider to keep the
ropes separated. A no frills yet fully functioning closure and
bomber hauling set up that only needs a single biner to make it
all happen. The clip in loops are designed to work with a single
clip in point, a wide spread double clip in, or even three clips
at the anchor. This bag is designed for "on the wall"
use. It is not a casual "carry your rope around bag".
It thrives up on a wall, not at the base of the local hummock.
There are no shoulder straps, padded gizmos, or fluff apparatus
to interfere with its sole function: Big Wall Rope Management.
The back panel is made from a burly 600x300 fabric that wraps
around the full bottom and rear corners to fight abrasion. The
main bags are made from 420D Pack Cloth which is no slouch by
itself. All the loops and add-ons sport numerous bartacks and
are bomber to overkill for the application. This is a "no
worries" bag. $49.00
