The Bishop Area Boulders, Bardini Boulders
The
Bardini Boulders have had numerous discoverers over the years.
I think Smoke Blanchard was the first of many boulderers to visit
this area. Every 5 years or so since then (1954?) someone else
"finds" this smattering of boulders and puts up a few
problems and lays claim to the "secret" area. Developers
of note would be John Sherman, Tom Klinefelter, and Greg Haverstock,
with some quick yet productive visits by Wills Young, and Chris
Leube. In recent history this area has been the worst kept secret
in Bishop bouldering. At times a topo guide is available to this
area on the Bouldering.com web site. See our maps page for more info. 45+ problems from VB
to V9.
