The "Happies" as some call them (yuk!) are the most popular area on the volcanic tableland to boulder...and with good reason. Rock and Ice Magazine did a mini-guide to this area in issue #83 that let the cat out of the bag. A soon to be published guide by RockFax Guidebooks will further increase the popularity of this premier bouldering site. Climbing Magazine has also just done a small guide in issue #182. Curently there are over 500 problems in this compact area featuring every grade up to V11, along with tons of moderates in the V1-V3 range. Good rock, great weather, true high-balls (take that! Millenium boulder) and still plenty of new stuff to do make the Happy Boulders a mandatory stop on any boulderers circuit.
