The Bishop Area Boulders, Sherman Acres
Sherman Acres was once the exclusive playpen for John
Sherman, father of Modern Bouldering save for Gill, Long, and
Ryan. He published no ascents, gave no maps, and told nary a soul
about his secret area. About 5 other guys were doing the same
thing. As is customary, the cat got out of the bag and Sherman
Acres is now the best known secret since Yosemite. Sherman will
be turning in his grave... say, isn't he still alive? Anyway,
tons of rock, good pulls, and heavy legend abound. What more could
